HOTEL COORG INTERNATIONAL, Madikeri – A Smart Stay in the City

The hotel is situated in the city area, making commuting to adjacent places easy. The rooms, although a bit old, are clean and feature a sofa which adds to the comfort. The service provided by the reception, restaurant, and housekeeping staff is polite and supportive. The location is pretty good for exploring major tourist sites like Raja Seat and Om Kareshwara Temple. The dining options could be more diverse, although the live kitchen serving omelettes is a nice touch. The presence of security guards adds to the feeling of safety.

I had a mixed experience at this hotel. The rooms lacked ventilation when the windows were closed, and there was some moisture and a slight smell, likely due to the rainy season. On the positive side, the staff were courteous and accommodating to our requests. The service could use a refresh, and I especially appreciated Dharni from the front desk for being polite and helpful. The location had its ups and downs - a tranquil setting, but with disturbances from stray dogs at night. The dining options were hit or miss, with limited choices and not-so-fresh salad and fruit. However, the hotel offered nice facilities to enjoy during the stay.

The hotel offers very spacious rooms with a hint of moisture but still good. The service is top-notch with environmentally friendly initiatives by the staff. The location is superb, just a stone's throw away from Coorg's key attractions. The dining experience varies from very tasty to needing improvement. Overall, a comfortable stay with some delightful perks.
